Praise for Hippie Hollow - Murder on a Nude Beach.

Denniger Bolton's first novel is called Hippie Hollow, Murder on a Nude Beach, and is set in weird and wonderful Austin, Texas

I loved this book! Cowboy-type detective out to prove himself has to work with older flower-shop metaphysical psychic traveler to solve an unsolved murder case 5 years old. Someone is sponsoring the new investigation, but who & why? The characters in this book were so good I am still thinking about them even though I finished it over a week ago. Great Austin references and a good mystery too! Makes me wish I were there...

Plenty of intrigue, great character development, lots of humor---a really fun mystery with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Loved it and can't wait to read Denniger Bolton's next book!

Ever been to Austin Town? Wondering what it might be like to live life as a local? Do they really wear cowboy boots and have a nude beach? Why Martha, yes of course! Learn about life lived by the locals ~ in a groovy sort of Austin way, where east meets west and the whole enchilada makes for a very interesting tale.

B B Rivers is the sort of private eye that you'd want to meet. You'll find yourself wishing for more after you've turned the last page.

This book has a little bit of everything: several intriquing murders to be solved, a first time detective who has a lot of appeal as a "regular" guy with whom we experience his many foibles and the old master who is wise about the ways of the world and the inner self. And the setting perfectly captures the colorful life in Central Texas, both in Austin and at Lake Travis. The book is a fun read and one you won't want to put down. I can't wait for subsequent books from the author and further adventures of detective B.B. Rivers.

It's awesome. It's hilarious. It's a true Austin Texas book. Brought to you straight from the people who lived hippie hollow themselves. I bought 3 copies!

I love mysteries and books about cowboys so I was pleased as punch to find this book had both. I couldn't put it down!

I wasn't sure what to expect of this modern-day, comedy wild-western, detective story. But it was one of the funniest books I'd read in years. That crazy mix of genres shouldn't work, for goodness' sake, but somehow, it works brilliantly!

I read it right through in one day, only stopping to deal with the tedium of work. I embarrassed the heck out of myself when reading it on the London Underground train - where the unspoken rule is to never make eye contact, never to speak with strangers, and to be as invisible as possible - by literally crying with laughter and (gasp!) slapping my knee. But it's not a soppy story; the 'baddie' character is a nasty specimen that left me so disturbed by his crimes that I was craving his comeuppance.

B.B.'s a great character - a really unusual mix of dopey, layabout, red-necked bar-fly, and intelligent,super-insightful detective (think Columbo in cowboy boots instead of the tatty old raincoat). And he's just so funny... I've already recommended this book to quite a few friends and family. Buy it; you'll love it.

Loved it... just left me wanting to read more of B.B.s adventures! I was savoring the ending like the last piece of chocolate. I didn't want it to end and was hoarding it; saving it up; trying to make it last! I actually have never done that before in reading a book.

A pinch of Pynchon, a dash of Mosley, and a little Haaison thrown in for color.

Praise for The Armadillo Whisperer - Murder Behind Bars
Denniger Bolton's second novel is called The Armadillo Whisperer - Murder Behind Bars and is set in weird and wonderful Austin, Texas

Everyone will be sitting on the edge of their saddles as they read through the latest big adventure. You'll be reminded once again that women are from Venus, and they wish all men were from Texas.

The only thing that slows this book down is turning the pages.

Every woman wants to be carried off into the sunset by a handsome cowboy, who must be a little raunchy, a little ripped, and just a little dangerous. B.B. Is one helluva fantasy cowboy.

Praise for Honk If You're Jesus - Murder by the Bay

In B. B. Rivers, his champion ex-cop vegetarian kung fu PI, Bolton has created a true original.  Packed with dire danger, daring deeds, and B. B.'s hilarious ruminations, Honk If You're Jesus is an apt third installment in the case files of the closest thing to Super Bubba Austin, Texas will ever see.
